By the end of this Shoplazza review, you will have a better understanding of this platform.

Look around, and you will find dozens of ecommerce solutions out there. How would you know which is the right website builder for your specific needs and requirements? An ecommerce store does not just involve having a product page to sell. A lot goes behind the scenes to make an online store successful.

Shoplazza Overview

Shoplazza was founded in Canada in 2017. Today, this all-in-one eCommerce platform is a favorite among D2C (Direct to Consumer) brands and B2C ecommerce businesses. Shoplazza has positioned itself as a SaaS (software as a service) solution that helps create scalable ecommerce businesses.

The Company has attracted businesses across a wide range of verticals such as tech, fashion & apparel, and wellness. Shoplazza boasts over 350k stores across 150 countries. Shoplazza has also garnered good press. It recently received the Best Shopping Cart Partner of 2020 by PayPal and was featured in Forbes.

Shoplazza: The Good & the Bad

Let’s start with the positive side of Shoplazza.

The ecommerce builder works well for established online stores wanting to migrate from other ecommerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and AliExpress. With Shoplazza, you get a free migration tool that lets you import not just the products, but also the comments and blog from your online shop.

Shoplazza plans come with a website builder, content management system, ERP, and marketing tools. I found Shoplazza to be user-friendly and rich in features. Beginners and experienced ecommerce players like Shoplazza for its flexibility and features.

Shoplazza offers a centralized dashboard. You don't need to know coding to use this platform. If you have a large team, Shoplazza will impress you. It also offers you free stock photos to add to your site. Last but not the least, you can try Shoplazza for 7 days (free of cost) before purchasing a plan.

On the flip side, Shoplazza can be a bit challenging if you have not used a similar platform before. A new store owner can get overwhelmed with its wide array of features.

Granted, Shoplazza has a self-help library replete with documentation.

But, a large part of the library has not been updated.

When you compare Shoplazza with other leading online store solutions, you will observe that it has limited preset themes. The biggest drawback of Shoplazza in this regard is its inability to allow a user to upload or purchase a new theme.

Shoplazza: Getting started

You will have to visit Shoplazza’s home page to sign up and create an account.

Thereafter, you will see Shoplazza’s dashboard.

This is where you can do all the good stuff- add products, tweak the store theme, change and adjust shipping/payment, and more.

The platform offers 26 free themes. These themes can be customized as well.

For example, you can change the layout and color scheme, and add your logo and images.

Shoplazza has a drag and drop builder that lets you create both product collections and checkout pages.

You can use various blocks to add different styles to the web pages. Cards or blocks on Shoplazza are available for shopping carts, navigation, social media, and more.

Did you know you could use a custom domain name with your Shoplazza shop?

Shoplazza: Team Management

When you have an online shop, chances are you will have a small team. Your ecommerce platform should have a collaboration functionality using which you can assign the right access levels to your team members.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-13-28-32

With Shoplazza, you can add up to 100 users to your site. And you can assign different access levels to them to ensure the security of your online shop.

For example, you could add a finance expert and assign them a financial role. Likewise, you can assign operations, tech, and other roles.

Shoplazza: Multiple Features

I am a big believer of content management systems, aka, CMS. A CMS allows you to add variety to your store- add content, images, videos, and more. Thankfully, Shoplazza offers both CMS and Enterprise resource planning (ERP) features.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-13-28-06

Using the CMS feature, you can create blog posts, optimize your site for SEO, create email templates, and optimize email marketing.

And the ERP (enterprise resource management) side of Shoplazza lets you automate billing, inventory, and shipping information. The ERP system comes in handy when you are running multiple online stores.

Using the ERP solution, you can automate accounting, order management, shipping, and so much more.

Shoplazza: Digital Marketing

An online business does not make money without people coming in and buying.

And that is only possible when you drive them through marketing.

Content marketing, SEO, advertising, and other aspects of marketing play a key role in driving traffic to your online shop.

Here is a cool thing you can do with your Shoplazza account.

You can sync your product catalog with the ads on Facebook and Instagram. So, next time, when you want to run a new set of ads, Facebook will automatically populate the products from your online shop.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-13-28-57

And if you are running a Facebook store, you can auto generate it with content from your online shop.

This saves a lot of time and also creates an omnichannel approach to marketing.

Email marketing is a key part of marketing.

Shoplazza integrates with most of the email marketing solutions such as MailChimp and Klaviyo.

Alternatively, you can use the email platform built into Shoplazza to manage your email list.

Shoplazza offers a variety of email templates for categories such as discounts, abandoned carts, invitations, and more.

Just like any good email marketing platform, Shoplazza lets you customize these templates. You can add your logo, content, and other things to the templates.

Talking about SEO, you can connect your online shop with tools such as Google Analytics.

You can also tweak the on-page SEO aspects of your store to rank higher on Google.

Shoplazza: Security

Online stores, both small and large, use Shoplazza globally. Thanks to its reliability and security, the platform has a great reputation in the ecommerce domain.

One of the biggest challenges in the ecommerce domain is the safety and security of your customers’ information, especially financial information. Thanks to the growing number of scam sites, this is more important than before.

Also, you want your store to never be down. While a 100% uptime is unheard of, Shoplazza does offer over 99% uptime. This almost guarantees that users from anywhere in the world would be able to visit your online shop without seeing an error.

I like that Shoplazza offers SSL certificates by default.

Having an SSL certificate on your online store affirms your identity, helps with search engine rankings, helps meet PCI/DSS regulations, and most importantly, helps build customer trust.

Shoplazza: Responsiveness

Did you know that retail mcommerce (mobile ecommerce) sales reached over $350 billion in 2021? This was a 15% jump from the numbers in 2020. It is expected that these numbers will double in the next 3 years.

More and more users browse and shop on their mobile devices. Having a mobile-first experience is no longer a nice thing to do. It has become a “must-have” strategy for running a successful online business.

Shoplazza offers mobile-friendly themes. This makes it easy for the store owner to have a mobile-friendly website. You will not have to worry about your store displaying correctly on mobile devices.

Shoplazza: Analytics

All things said and done, you need granular analytics to make decisions. Without data, all marketing efforts might be useless. You want to know how consumers interact with your online store, what they like, what they don’t like (points of friction), how they interact during the checkout process, and what is causing them to abandon the shopping cart?

image-47-7

Shoplazza has built-in analytics to help you analyze customer behavior in your online store. This will help you improve your user experience, increase website traffic, and retain customers.

Shoplazza: Payment Options

Payment gateways are one of the most important aspects of an online store.

With your Shoplazza store, your customers can use PayPal, World Pay, Stripe, debit cards, and credit cards.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-13-31-16

And if you are a global store catering to users in different locations around the world, you can use regional payment options. In fact, Shoplazza serves online stores in 150 countries. Your Shoplazza store automatically detects your user’s local IP address and shows them the local currency for checkout.

Shoplazza: Print on Demand

One of the best ways to sell custom products online is to use POD or print-on-demand suppliers. When you join hands with a POD supplier, you can provide your custom design, and the rest falls under their purview. This means printing and shipping of the products is no longer your headache.

Shoplazza integrates with both HugePOD and CJdropshipping.

Shoplazza: Pricing

You can get started with Shoplazza without spending a dime.

They offer a 7-day free trial.

If you like what you see, you can commit to one of their several paid plans.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-13-32-12

Shoplazza Basic costs $28 per month.

This plan has a 2% commission rate and offers up to 6 user accounts.

Other features of this plan include Free Themes, 24/7 Support, Embedded integration with multiple sales channels, a One-click connection to all social platforms, Discount codes, and AI-Powered Recommendations.

And there is no limit to adding products to this plan. In other words, you can add unlimited products.

And this option applies to all other plans of Shoplazza as well.

Shoplazza Advanced costs $59 per month.

It has all the features available in the Basic plan, with one small difference.

The commission is reduced to 1% when you are on the Advanced Plan.

Shoplazza Premier, costing $99 a month, offers 15 staff accounts. And it gives you massive savings on commissions, with a mere 0.6% commission rate.

Shoplazza Enterprise is for larger businesses. It costs $189 a month and offers an awesome 0.3% commission fee and 100 staff accounts. Finally, we have the Shoplazza Pro, costing $218 per month. With this plan, the commission fee is 0.2%.

Shoplazza: Customer Service

I love the fact that Shoplazza has a large self-help resource library to help you build and manage an online store. The platform offers a blog, online help, and even a partner center. The community forum is a goldmine of information as well. Finally, you can contact Shoplazza team directly 24/7 by email or live chat.

When you sign up with Shoplazza, you get a free consultation.

Shoplazza: How does it compare against others?

When I think of competitors of Shoplazza, the one that comes to my mind is Shopify. You can check out my other articles where I have covered Shopify and other platforms.

Unlike Shopify which offers three pricing tiers, Shoplazza has a bit more flexibility with its five pricing plans.

Let’s see if you get more cost savings with Shoplazza or Shopify.

Let’s assume your online store has monthly sales of $50,000. With Shoplazza and Shopify Basic plans, you would end up paying the same 2% transaction costs (every month), which equals $1,000.

If you use Shoplazza Advanced or one of the mid-tier plans on Shopify, you will still pay a 1% fee for both. However, you might save a few bucks (not a big difference) with Shoplazza Advanced.

Talking about the higher plans, you will start seeing more savings with Shoplazza.

Shoplazza: Conclusion

Is Shoplazza worth its reputation?

Should you try this platform for your ecommerce needs?

In my opinion, Shoplazza has a wide range of features that caters to both beginners and established ecommerce store owners.

isotropic-2022-06-17-at-11-58-56

The platform offers global delivery chain solutions, free customizable themes and apps, and several marketing (and SEO) related features.

I feel that Shoplazza stands out when it comes to integration. Its ability to migrate products from Amazon or eBay helps save a lot of time.

Imagine having to manually add hundreds of products again to your Shoplazza store from Amazon or eBay. If you are seeking a powerful, all-in-one ecommerce solution for launching and running your online business, you should give Shoplazza a try.

With its 7-day free trial, you have nothing to lose.
