The possibilities of AI are endless. Artificial intelligence often brings about images of physical robots working in factories, driving cars, and even assisting us in our homes. Well, AI is already making its impact on us in ways that go beyond Siri and Alexa.
If you are a writer that has to deliver tons of copy in a short amount of time, you now have smart online tools that can assist you. Artificial intelligence is now being used to help writers of various specialties get their work done faster. Whether you have to write social copy, web copy, a full article, or advertisements, Writesonic can provide you with quick online assistance.
Let's take a look at the Features, Pricing, Pros, and Cons of using this software to increase your writing productivity.
As a writer who is tasked with many tasks, one of the most difficult things to handle is breaking down a document that you have written into a small number of digestible paragraphs, for example, a blog post.
Many different writers take various approaches to this.
Some writers may make this as difficult as possible by simply writing huge blocks of text without any substance to go with them. The advantage of doing this is that you can make a quick dent in your writing in a short amount of time, and you are not wasting your precious time doing nothing.
This is where Writesonic can come in to help you not only generate ideas, but to help you properly organize the ones that you already have.
When you start a project with Writesonic, you can start to type in your initial idea right away after you choose from a range of templates. Available templates include landing pages, copy templates, articles, ads and MUCH MORE.
The AI system then takes your ideas or general short description to generate an outline. Once you have your outline, you can have the software further generate more complete copy for you.
If you don't like the initial copy, you can keep hitting the regenerate button until you find something that you like. You can also edit the copy as you wish within the tool and then launch or download it. Say goodbye to big endless walls of text - regardless of how long your article or copy needs to be.
This software comes with over 40 types of copy for you to utilize. Let's look at some of the main ones.
This feature allows you to create landing pages, headers, and SEO meta descriptions.
The section includes add copy for LinkedIn ads, Google ads, and Facebook ads. Soon users will be able to generate copy for Twitter and Instagram ads as well.
The AI article writer is a very quick way to generate blog ideas, intro and outlines. You can also rephrase or expand upon previous written contents. The content rephraser will generate up to three different tones from previously written pieces. This feature also includes a readability score and grammar correction.
Are you interested in advertising your products or writing about them on Amazon? The E-commerce Copy feature is made specially for you. Here you can use Writesonic to generate product titles, product descriptions, product features, and sponsored ads. In addition to the above, this feature will also help you write sales emails.
If you were doing formal copywriting or more journalistic articles, rest assured that the AI is smart enough to initiate standard copywriting formulas. While you are writing, you can use the AI tool to generate a copy written in the AIDA or the Pain-Agitate-Solution model.
You can even use this software to write press releases as well as company or personal bios. Are you a startup company or do you aspire to start one? Writesonic can even help you generate start-up and growth ideas.
Writesonic has a range of affordable and flexible plans available to users. You could use the free trial, a monthly subscription based on your needs, or use the pay-as-you-go option.
If you're not sure that Writesonic is right for you or your company, you can start out with a free trial. The free trial comes with all of the features mentioned and is available in 25 languages. However, only one user can utilize the free trial.
Bloggers, freelance writers or students may find the Basic plan is ideal for them. This plan only costs $15 per month and comes with the same features available in a free trial.
Professional freelancers can pay $45 a month and get unlimited credits. All features are available on this plan, but once again only one user can use the app.
There are two plans that are available for businesses.
Startups and small businesses can pay $95 per month for the Startup plan. This plan also comes with all the features, unlimited credits, and up to 2 user seats are available. This plan is further enhanced by including priority support. In the near future, users on the Startup plan can utilize browser extensions and a Shopify app.
The largest plan available is the Agency plan which permits four users. $195 a month gives businesses and agencies all available features including a custom feature request. In the near future the agency plan will have white labeling available as well.
If you don't think you will use this tool a lot, but you enjoy the features, you can avoid signing up for a monthly subscription. Just utilize the PAYG (Pay as you go) feature.
Let's start with the pros. First, it's free to start. Second, it's very easy to use. Third, you have full access to all writing tools in it. Fourth, it's a simple process to input your content. Finally, it helps you become more organized in a few days time.
The good thing about the free trial is that it comes with access to all of the features. So you have a very good idea of how the software works before you decide to spend money on it.
The individual plans such as the basic and freelancer plans are still very affordable. If you are a freelance writer who generates a decent income per month, the $45 fee will quickly pay for itself.
The pay-as-you-go feature is quite cool. With all of these web apps and productivity software available, it is very tempting to sign up for everything right away. I know I have plenty of apps on my computer that I thought I would use but many end up collecting dust. If Writesonic is something you feel you won't use a lot, but you want to keep it on deck, simply pay for what you use as you go. It would be nice if more apps had this feature.
Even when you sign up for a monthly subscription you do not have to sign any binding contracts. You have the freedom to cancel at any time.
While there is a free trial available, it only permits one user at a time. So it may be difficult for agencies and midsize companies to test it out for free.
Both the startup and agency plans currently only permit a small number of users. Some companies may need many people to write for them, even if it is a small or mid-sized company. So purchasing a plan that only has two or four user spots available may not be enough for some businesses.
As mentioned earlier, Writesonic has membership plans for both individuals and companies. A busy freelance writer will certainly be able to take advantage of many of the features available in the software. Whether you are a freelancer that writes long-form articles, short blog posts, or social copy, you can use Writesonic. However, a freelancer that does not generate a lot of work may not need it yet.
Agencies can use this software to draft web content, marketing emails, and social ad campaigns for every social media tool available. The tool also assists with writing YouTube copy. So if you are an agency that has several clients, you'll be able to handle tighter turnaround times with this writing assistant. Bear in mind, that since the startup and agency memberships only come with 2 to 4 user seats available, companies may have to think carefully about who those users seats go to.
E-commerce Brands can certainly take advantage of the ability to quickly write product descriptions for social media and Amazon.
Marketing teams will be able to knock out tons of copywriting pieces. Copywriting can take a lot of time and energy. This writing assistant will at least help to streamline the production involved in that.
Are There Educational Resources Available?
Writesonic does not expect everyone to automatically hit the ground running. The tool is very easy to use with a very clean user interface. However, The creators have put together a very nice resource page that provides user tutorials for all of their features. Rest assured that when you sign up for the software, you will be able to become a pro at all of the features.
There's also a link to join a Facebook group so that you can ask questions of other users.
Whether you are a freelance writer or an agency that hires writers, you will understand how much work and time can go into each piece. Having a full content load can be stressful. So it is nice to have an AI writing assistant available to both freelancers and companies alike.
I am amazed with how smarter and more helpful artificial intelligence continues to be.
Writesonic Is a very useful tool with a very clean interface. I took the stool for a spin during the free trial and it was very easy to sign up and get started. Once your email is validated you literally can go to your profile page and begin writing immediately. All features are available to you whether you want to produce an article, social media copy, or a product description.
One of the many things that is great about this tool is if you are a writer in a particular niche, you can easily begin to switch over to a different niche while utilizing the services of Writesonic. While I enjoy writing articles and blogs, I am tempted to test my hand at seeing what type of advertising copy I could produce. I am particularly fascinated by utilizing their LinkedIn feature. I definitely plan to test out what kind of content snippets the software would generate for my LinkedIn profile.
The price point of the software is also very attractive. As mentioned earlier, the individual plans are quite cheap. When you pay only $15 for a basic plan or $45 for a professional freelancer plan, those membership fees will most likely pay for themselves very quickly. If you're getting at least some freelance work, those memberships will barely be noticeable.
My main critique is in regard to the user spots available for businesses and agencies. An agency or business will probably need more than two or 4 user spots available.- especially if they produce a lot of written content. I guess one way around this is if the agencies have some generic emails they could use to login into the software. They can share a generic email among a few different users.
I also think it's great that the software has tutorials available on their website. The interface is very intuitive and easy-to-use. So the addition of educational resources make this software even better.
I look forward to seeing how this advanced AI writing assistant will continue to grow in the future. I just hope it does not end up replacing actual writers!
